yes. it'll be a battle for the last wildcard spot vs mtl and buffalo. but the panthers can surprise u. if bob has a good year, IMO, they're gonna be top 3 in the atlantic. prob behind tampa and boston

i dont see how they imporved in a big way. they kinda stayed the same. they gave up kadri to get barrie. barrie is great, but he's slighlty better than gardiner defensively. panthers made a big move in getting bob

I don't think they'll make it in via a divisional spot, but they could definitely challenge for the 1st wild card

They also gained Kerfoot to replace Kadri @ 3C in that trade, not just Barrie

Kerfoot has played over 60% of his career in the nhl at wing. They will likely start him at C, but won't give him a ton of minutes, cause he's not the greatest matchup guy as a centermen. Kadri was. This responsibility will likely fall on tavares and matthews.

I agree & is why Leafs added Shore & Spezza - Leafs biggest problem (other than defence) showed when Kadri was suspended, Leafs had no C depth and had to shove Nylander down to 3C.

I think you will see 3/4 C fluctuate the whole season between Kerfoot/Spezza/Shore/Goat & possibly Petan
