Puljujarvi, Bear and a 2nd - I am assuming you are looking for cap space, so prospects and cheap flyer project RFA's make sense. Kakko and Puljujarvi can bond.

I low-key love this deal.. Puljujarvi is a project definitely but has enough potential to still be enticing, and bear has good upside but really its the 2nd rounder puts it over the top for me in addition to these two players.

It is a fairly heavy price, but I think the Oil have so many D prospects now that Bear is number 3 or 4 in the system and so should be traded from that strength. Puljujarvi will be included in any trade for a young scoring winger. As for the 2nd, maybe an overpayment, but I think the oilers need something like this to save the embarassment that has occurred with the wingers. Could see a 4th coming back to EDM though, who knows how it would balance out. But Bear and Puljujarvi makes sense as the base.

Well getting bear would also allow us to get rid of deangelo too this offseason which would lead to more cap savings. I'd be okay with a right side of Trouba, Fox and Bear

If the rangers are giving up that much, there aren't many players where it could be sorta a 1 for 1.. if it was both of them we would be talking about Bouchard and Broberg-- i don't think edmonton has any plans of getting rid of them. Rangers can only invest so much in draft picks and high potential low floor prospects like Puljujarvi and Bear. Adding DeAngelo would just be too much. I would love for a DeAngelo+Kreider @ 50% for nylander tho

not enough, Sanford is mainly a bottom line forward (maybe 3rd line) and we already have enough of those, Schmaltz is a 7th D and a 3rd isn't high enough.. works in NHL 19 but not in real life
