Jets decline easily. That is a terrible offer for a top 6 possession driving winger that’s signed long term. I would want at least Suzuki/poehling, a juulsen and a 2nd (maybe even a 1st spending on how many people want him)

I know that is an overpayment but that’s what it will take cause the jets do not need to or want to move ehlers. It either has to be an overpayment or a hockey trade.

Since when a 2 time 60 pts guy first line winger, only 23 Y/O , signed with a really nice contract for 6 more years is worth a meh 2nd paired D/good 3rd pair D + a B tier prospect and a 4th round pick...
To receive you gotta give.
For the Senators trade, 1 Year of 6,25 mil of marleau costed a 1st round pick, now you think that 3 years of a 4,625 AHL D cap dump is only gonna cost you that pile of worthless asset/ garbage?

I would love ehlers with the habs, but the cost would be something that hurt, and no futures because winnipeg are still trying to contend now. It start with Petry + or Drouin +
They value Ehlers as much as we value domi, try to find a package that you would be prepared to receive to give up domi, and now we will be talking
Poehling a aimé ceci.

AGAIN, everyone is forgetting win HAS to shed salary in order to sign laine conner and copp and replace the 3 d that they lost. otherwise i would agree with you ...

That doesn't mean they are trading a young top-6 winger for a 7th defenseman, a bottom-6 forward and a 4th round pick.

That is comical.

If they bridge laine, we don’t. If not perreault won’t be hard to move. We won’t get what he’s worth but we could move him
