Yeah, Brodie should be able to fetch much better in my opinion. And you'll have to give up a lot more to get Hoffman, considering the Panthers signed Bobrovsky with the intent of going on a playoff run, and they wouldn't give up a 70 point guy for just Frolik.

Yeah, hopefully he passes it. If he doesn't, his value goes down a lot, which could make the trade more favorable with the draft picks (eg flames getting a third instead of a fourth) and then him hopefully getting into the lineup later in the season. However, if he does pass, it could be really good for the flames.

That's true, Brodie could probably get better. One reason why I went with Johns is because he has a relatively low cap. In hindsight, the Frolik-Hoffman trade isn't good enough. How much more would you give up for Hoffman?

I would think it would have to be a good young forward prospect and a 1st in addition to Frolik. Hoffman is very underrated, and Florida isn't going to give him up for less than a lot considering how good he was for them last year. At least, that would be my thinking as a GM.
