Detroit says no thanks. If Detroit wasn't willing to give up AA for Trouba it's not likely that they would for Buchnevich, Lettieri and a 2nd rd pick. I don't know why you put Lettieri in this trade, If he ins't the worst prospect in your system he is very close to it. Buchnevich is a very solid player but he isn't as good as AA and I don't think a 2nd makes up for the difference.

AA ended the 2017-18 season and started the 2018-19 season in Blashill's doghouse. At the start of the season he was getting 3rd 4th line minutes and was on the wing he had to earn more minutes and the chance to play center. Once Blashill started playing him at center and he really took off and when Larkin was hurt he turned to AA to take over and pick up the slack. I don't thick AA has reached his ceiling yet. AA had 30g 24a for 54p this season and he was playing with guys like Helm, Abdelkader, DeLaRose and Ehn.
So if AA can't put numbers like that without much help and playing about a third of the season on the wing with limited minutes. I really want to see what he can do starting the season as the #2 center and the minutes that go along with it and as some of our prospects star to develop maybe even some help. AA's speed and ability to score makes him a threat almost every time he is on the ice, so teams playing Detroit can't just focus their on the 1st line alone. Now I like Buchnevich and I think he is a very good player but he's just more than 2nd pick away from AA.
