Chicago is not trading for Strome, and no one is giving you a third and a 4th for him.

Signings:
Trouba is underpaid - he is looking for between 7.5-8 mil
Buch is overpaid by over a million - he should be at 3.5 for 4 yrs
Deangelo is overpaid by almost 2 million - he should be at 2.5 for 4yrs

Trades:
I don't think Strome will bring more than just a single 3rd round pick. Maybe he can bring a 5th and 4th, but anything more than that would be overpaying for him.

Also, I don't think that Colorado will want Namestnikov just because they need to sign their own. Ratanen will be at 6-7 Million, Compher will be aound 2.5-4 Million and Burakovsky will probably be around 5 Million. that's not including others they need to sign. I mean it could work, but I don't think they will go that route when they have JT Compher as a similar player that they can have him take less.

The Ottawa trade will never happen because Staal has a NTC that he will block that 100%. To be honest, I would rather keep Staal as a guy that helps these young guys adjust to the North American Pro game.

Also, Pitt trade is terrible

Also, I don't mind the Minnesota trade but I think I would rather keep Kreider and extend him for 5 yrs because he can be a good captain for these young guys down the road.

Also, Shattenkirk needs to stay for the same reason as Staal, hes on a good contract for two more years and he could be a good guy for the young guys to look up to.

Lastly, Patrick Eaves trade is dumb. Anaheim can do that on their own and they are actually adding money to their cap with Smith. Id rather just buy him out of his contract to free up space.

lol...they literally went out of their way to pair up the Saarela brothers and Burakovsky just went for a 2nd and a 3rd. It's market value at worst.

It makes literally no sense with the cap situation, draft pick cost of the hawks. Your best argument is “StROmE BrO’s” but to be fair I guess that is equal to “AnISIMoV f0R Da BrEADmoN” so touché. Point is no way does Chicago do this trade. Dump him somewhere else.

I'm impressed....Quite literally everything is wrong.

Their Trouba 7 yr deal has a value of 6,873,000
Buch 6 yr deal is at 4,744,000
Deangelo 6 yr deal is at 4,594,000

If you're going to quibble about 500k that's cool but at least be on the right side of it.

1) Burakovsky just went for a 2nd and a 3rd. Putting up an average of 25 pts a season on 2 of the better offensive teams of the last year. Strome has been putting up an average of 35 pts a season on 2 of the worst offensive teams of the past 2 years. You think the difference between them is a whole 2nd round pick? lol

2) Rantanen for 5 yrs + is commanding minimum 8mil and for 8 yrs he's getting around 10 mil. Burakovsky 5 mil? Wow Strome's cap hit at 3.1 seems EVEN BETTER lol. Seriously though, Burakovsky is getting a 2.5 mil 2 yr deal.

Screen-Shot-2019-07-02-at-12-36-47-PM

Colorado still has about 10 mil in cap space to burn after all that. What's next.

3) Hey guys the veteran presence thing is really working lol. The pitch to Staal is very easy. Either stay in the press box and not play for the next 2 years. Or Play top 4 minutes in Ottawa. You know the type of person Staal is. What do you think he's gonna pick?

4) Pitt trade is terrible guys. Imagine not wanting to upgrade to this lol...It's like you want to lose.

Screen-Shot-2019-07-02-at-12-40-10-PM

5) Extend Kreider for 5 years? Great idea. Let's ask Loui Eriksson, Kyle Okposo, and Milan Lucic how their extensions are working out.

Screen-Shot-2019-07-02-at-12-40-10-PM

6) ????

7) You do realize Anaheim needs defenders right... And Smith is one of the best at Actually defending

I appreciate the discussion. Let me know if any of the data is confusing to you....

I guess that's fine. Concern was more about his value than his fit with your specific team. It just made sense in that regard. But he fits on most teams in the league.

Let's see what they come out to over the summer and I will come back and apologize for so called being wrong. reported by Elliott Fredimann Trouba is in the range of 7.5-8Mil/yr for 7 yrs. that was two days ago before Free agency started. But I don't have the time to go through everything you answered with as I am at work doing this. I just want you to know that Buffalo set the standard with Skinner, which escalated numbers. Again, we will see at the end of the summer how everything pans out. Thanks for your educated answer,

He also was offered 12.5 by the Islanders and Columbus. He took less to be apart of the Rangers organization. Also, his girlfriend wanted to live in Manhattan, which played a part in his decision.

??

you had "Buchnevich at 3.5 for 4 years" when he went for 3.25 for....2 years.

You followed that up with "Burakovsky for 5 mil" which I guess was in response for me saying 2.5 mil....he went for 3...

Here are the charts performance....they're pretty spot on.

I was off by 250k and 2 years at the time. You were slotting him at just above $4million at one point.

Genuinely asking, do you understand the concept of buying out RFA years vs. buying out UFA years?

Genuinely speaking, I do. I have done my research and have watched these players play. I understand the system before I speak my opinion. The only argument that I was trying to prove that my numbers were, yes slightly off, but for the most part correct.
