Description
This could work. The Jackets get a great deal. They get the no. 1 center they have been looking for. Plus, they get another good defenseman to add to the stable of young defensemen. Adding Marcus to play with his brother Nick would be very interesting. Also settles the Jackets need for cap space.

As for Buffalo, they get the 3OA and not at the expense of their 8th overall selection. They now get to draft an elite RW tgat they desire.They also get some grit and steady point production from Hartnell.

That's a hell of a big deal! If I wake up and read this I sure spit my coffee all over the place. Stays a fair deal at the end, maybe a little advantage to Columbus.

I can't imagine Buffalo being willing to lose Reinhart and Ristolainen in the same deal. We're sending only one high quality young asset (#3oa) and they're sending two, and that's not going to be a good look.

Key to remember is that Buffalo does not trade their 8th overall on this trade. That gives them a pick they could either keep or get parlay it into something else that could help them. Overall that isn't bad.

How is that a even trade? CBJ give up 3 junk players & 3OA to get a bunch of good players? I don't get it?
