Rutherford is asking for no less than the 6th overall pick from Calgary so hopefully it will happen.

just cuz he's asking doesn't mean he'll get it.

Flames aren't going to give up one of Nylander/Dubois/Tachuk (especially given the propensity for one of those two teams above them to screw up their draft) for a 31 year old near 6m cap hit concussion prone goalie, sorry to burst your bubble.
Why would they? Reimer is available for free and he's an above average goalie gets the flames 3 years to let Gillies develop.

Pittsburgh can think they're going to get that pick all they want but it makes no sense for Calgary. If Treliving does do it however, Rutherford will win another "best GM" trophy.

You're basically swapping similar defensive prospects so It's fleury and a 2nd round pick for the 6th overall pick.
I'd rather have a package that has a little more for fleury. Not that the 6th overall pick isn't good. but maybe a 2nd and a couple prospects.
