I haven’t heard of this “rumor” but either way I kinda like it. I think that with losing Gardner the leafs will need some help when it comes to depth and skill. Here’s how I’d roll the lines

However I do think that the 2nd has to be changed to a 3rd or 4th because Shattenkirk isn’t a bad defensemen at all. He just isn’t worth the 6.65 we are paying him. At 3.25, he could be one of the best contracts on the leafs apart from Kadri (if he sees the end of the summer as a leaf)

The way I see it is, the rangers save $1,225,000 this year and $3,325,000 next year. No dead cap money on a buyout in the preceding years. Rangers can keep brown or choose to move him. I do agree maybe the 2nd round pick was a little too high. Btw no Deangelo on the pairs?

I think you have to pay Trouba more than that. If Myers is getting $7-$8 million, then Trouba has to be in the $8-$9 range.
