Oilers could get more quality if trading McDavid to Toronto or any other team. That is very poor return for McDavid.

Taylor Hall has shown he can perform in Edmonton. Best to get a good return for McDavid and start fresh

It diversifies the portfolio a lot more. They get an elite defender in PK, a proven player in Taylor Hall, and frees up cap space to bring in Pavelski so they can make a run at the cup

That is not true. They will have supplementary scoring from guys like Brodziak and Kassian. You can expect a lot from these guys this year. Both will be entering unrestricted free agency next summer and will have a lot to play for.

That’s taking an awful chance!! I think a player plays for next contract as soon as signs his current one!! I don’t disagree with your trading thoughts... I’ve done a couple where I traded Draisitl to Philly... I think they have more to go after...
