I don't think $3.5M x1 is a realistic extension for Murray, coming off a career high in points (29) and +/- despite only 56 GP. He seems like a multi-year $4M+ type of signing.

That would be a no from Columbus. We aren’t trade 3 positive value players for RNH, a meh wing in Kharira and a cap dump. Not to mention the other cap dump you’re having Columbus take with no compensation.

The brodziak deal (or something similar) can be for any team that'll take it. With losing Duchene, I thought Nuge would be a good consolation prize (value of Murray + Jenner) and Khaira, Sekera, 2nd for Savard. Looking at that, you're right on the Savard side of the deal. That would need to be re-thought out. But I think CBJ would love to add a center like Nuge after losing a good chunk of their top 6 to free agency and they have expendable D and cheaper forwards that EDM would covet with their cap issues.

I agree RNH would be a nice add, but not at the cost of Murray Savard and Jenner. Savard and Jenner likely aren’t going to be traded and seem to have lots of value in Columbus, Murray with his injury history isn’t held as high but he’s still a sold player. Columbus would like RNH and the pick back but Sekera has negitive value to us with our depth on d and the wing is a 3rd/4th line replacement of whom most of our players are like.
