Maybe not as skilled as Nylander but better overall players imo. You can't teach work ethic and that's something Kapanen and Johnsson have, and Nylander unfortunately doesn't have it.

Yo boys I feel slightly in the dark about this one, but how viable is Colin Miller as a 1RD? Is he like, low MOR, MOR, low-key underappreciated? I don't know. I kinda just assumed he'd be a good 2RD from looking at his basic stats, size, points, etc.

I'd rather have a guy who's gonna work his ass off every night than a guy who looks like he's out for a public skate when he hits the ice.

I use my eyes and see a kid playing who produces way more offense and less defensive garbage than both Johnsson and Kapanen combined. Why do you think both just signed for less combined than Nylander? They are both 3rd line players. Johnsson can hang with Matthews and Nylander if needed but Kapanen was an anchor there. It's just the facts it's that simple

the matthews contract isnt great but he is still the better player. almost all numbers suggest that, he leads the league in 5v5 goals over the last five years. they are both very good but marner's point totals shot up because of JT. without JT marner wasnt very good but it was a small sample size. matthews also didnt get to play with nylander who makes AM so much better
