Hurerdeau is a stud. But Nurse + 8th overall is probably pretty close. Add a worthwhile prospect and its probably on par.

Reimer’s deal is much more manageable as he can still play NHL level. Russell is one of the worst d men in the league for even more cap. His contract is worse than Reimer’s, and considering the rumors of Luongo opting for LTIR, Florida is in no position to be dealing out goalies.

The panthers are shopping Reimer as of right now. If they can’t find a deal they’re going to buy him out so whatever you’re saying makes no sense.

Why do you think the Luongo talks are picking up? Sure if he plays again then Reed could be dealt, but it still doesn’t change that FLA is accepting a worse contract in Kris Russell. If they are buying out Reimer, why accept a worse contract?

He certainly scored a lot more often, I think his P/60 was about 50% higher than Klefbom's. His GF% was better too, meaning he contribute towards wins more than Klefbom did. Of course the Oilers were better with BOTH in the lineup than with just one of them, isn't that a given?
