Atkinson - 100 goals over the past 3 years, 33 goal seasons. 5th leading scorer on the Leafs last year and 3rd in goals. Thats big.
Murray - your 2nd best D by far
Jenner - a great 3rd line checker who plays a playoff style game, versatile and is gonna get you 30+ points, especially if he played with 1 of your talented forwards.
3rd - upgrade that to a 1st and thats a solid trade offer.

a) Your return sucks, Murray doesn't help the Leafs at all and they don't need Atkinson. Everyone in the world has the Leafs looking for RHD except you, what does that tell you?
b) Toronto has all the power. If a team wants Marner they need to either offer sheet him at 4 firsts or make Toronto a trade worth as much or more than that. If Marner doesn't like their offer he can sit out a year and go through the EXACT same process a year later, when he has earned no money for the last 12 months. I don't see why Toronto would panic and trade him at 25 cents on the dollar.

The Leafs don't need to add offensive defencemen, they need guys who are better in their own zone. Toronto was 4th in goals scored and 12th in goals allowed last year (to use simple stats) and their goaltender had an exceptional year, they likely should have been worse. So no, they don't need more goals they need more help defensively.

I know that you think your trade is good and want to defend it, but it isn't what the Leafs would want, so therefore it's not good for them.
