Description
With Ducks signing Vatanen LT, one has to speculate that Fowler could be on the move. I've long held that Nash would be a perfect fit in Anaheim given their need for a scoring LW with size. This would be a nice hockey trade as Fowler & Nash both have two contract years left. Obviously Rangers will be retaining some salary. With Fowler on board, this opens up the possibility of trading McDonagh for a killer return given Skjei development & ability to resign Yandle.

    OK, I understand Fowler for Nash, but do you expect Arizona to pay Staal 5m a year for 5 years and give a up a good draft pick too, when Yandle cost just 6m, and Demers 4.5. (admitting UFASs can sign anywhere).

    Do you watch hockey? This is probably one of the more realistic proposals out there. Fowler is UFA in 2 yrs & Anaheim has younger, cheaper option at D with expansion draft coming up. Nash is one year removed from 40+ goal season, plays a fantastic 2 way game and while over 30, only 2 yrs left on his deal. With 2mm retained that is a no brainer for the ducks

    Solid point on Staal. I think he is moveable, but no real idea what trading him could look like. Was just a stab.
