Kadri and Marleau trades are pretty balanced - I'm not sure about the Zaitzev one. Depends how much other teams want him.
Carolina trade is crazy one-sided for the leafs. Kapanen doesn't have the same value as Pesce, particularly when Pesce has a long term value contract and Kapanen is without any contract. You want to turn a third-line RW into a number 1 RHD with a 7th rd pick.

If the Leafs are fortunate enough to trade Zaitsev without retention, even no return is about the best the Leaf can expect.

Marleau can ride the pine in Toronto if the cost is Johnsson++ to move him. Flat out ridiculous.

I agree the trade favours the leafs a good deal, but that is an optimistic evaluation of Pesce and a pessimistic evaluation of Kapanen.

Isn't he the leafs #3 rw after Marner and Nylander? And Pesce would absolutely be the leafs #1 RHD, he would on most teams.

Isn't Pesce the 3rd RHD after Hamilton and Faulk?

Hamilton and Pesce each played almost exactly 20 min a game this year. (19:40 for Hamilton, 20:29 for Pesce) Faulk was just over 22 - they essentially all play the same amount.
