Laine is a Luxury the Flyers cannot afford. Not a knock on him it just doesn’t fit.

Jets I think give up some upside, but they get the good contracts back and allow them to pursue other places to fill out their roster. A number 2 centre is their biggest need, not a streaky scoring winger IMO

The whole point of the Jets acquiring a 2C is to play him with Laine so trading Laine for a 2C is very pointless.
