MTL doesnt need to win to create Revenue
hasnt the past 25 years they've grown fat shown this ?

Alzner is only good to a NJD,MIN or VGK at this point .
the issue is 2/3 teams dont have the cap to support him unless MTL retains 1.5m-2m
Alzners best off in MIN where his style and consistency will be appreciated as MIN hockey fans appreciate their shot blockers and hitters like anyone else.
(in MTL we sadly show little respect for depth D like a Joe Morrow ,Jo Benn,Mike Weaver,Boullion , Brisebois , ext . )

Weise's terms essential done and his buried cap is inconsequencial .
what isnt is giving away the Prize from the Mason trade leaving us with nothing but 2 buried contracts and Folin to show for it .

any deal for PHI's best Offensive D whom is also their best RD aswell 100% without question must contain a RD going back to PHI. Drouin does nothing for them but get in their already awesome offensive unit's way and doesnt address PHI needs just MTL's

bury Peca his AHL hit is 225K i believe

i think you just took everyone you had left over and tried making trades.
first rule of being a Gm is Supply vs Demand and none of these players have the demand .
Drouin deffinately has 3-4 teams who would jump to get him but only at the right price ( many others wouldnt want to give up even a late 1st because in today's draft that could be the next Brayden Point )
COL,WPG,DAL and BUF are the only ones i can think of motivated for one reason or another to land a Drouin

Ok I'm confused by both this response to the trade and the trade itself. You're both nuts in my mind. You wouldn't give up a 3rd round pick for Lehk and 2nd.. who cares about Alzner in this. Which brings me around to the trade.. what the hell man, why?

I don't get it, why offer Matt Duschesne a 6 X 8.5 mil contract? Statiscally, he had his best season of his career last year with 70pts. Domi on the other hand also had a 70pt season and you want to move him to the wing....seems to me like we already have our guy and his next contract he will be asking for the same kind of money.
Keep Domi at centre, it was his first season at that position since he entered the NHL.

Forget about the upgrade in d, unless we can get a league wide top 5 dman like Karlsson. As a team, Habs finished the season 8th best defensively out of 31 teams with pretty much 3 rookies playing in Jullsen, Mete and Kulak.

Be patient, we have our defense draftees coming up with 2yrs, Brooks, Fleury and with any luck Romanov or our centers, Poeling, KK along with Evans or wingers, .Ikonen, Fonstad and Ylonen and then in goal, Lindgren, Primeau and McNiven.

Habs heading in right direction, we could use an upgrade in scoring but honestly we just need a power play that isn't dead last in the league. I think we make the playoffs next season.

Duchene is 1/5 top five faceoff guys the past 5 years bar none . He and Oreilly both play a similar game .
both will never getting the respect they deserved until they have the cup in hand .

Duchene provides more then points for himself he makes everyone around him better .

Domi was strong but he was as bad as Chuck at winning faceoffs but with Domi it was easier to deal with because he'd be hot one night winning 80% then crappy the next week averaging 35% .

a guy like Duchene with Domi could see everyone on their line exceed 70tps if a guy like Gallagher has a career year on their wing .
keep in mind how much we chase the puck and how much it cost's us .

there is better Centers overall but none available that can win over 1000+ faceoffs at Duchene's rate year in and out .

While I agree with your assessment of Duchesne, we don't need him. First off, if by some miracle and I hope so we can contend for the cup we could bring in some help at trade deadline. At the moment I am very interested to see how KK and Poehling perform this season. Domi's FIRST season at center winning faceoffs needs improvement. We have Danault that has a similar winning percentage as Duchesne, the problem like winning important faceoffs is having the right guy take them and is a coaching problem. We need to add someone to the power play. Trouba is a good start, it will take a 2019 first round pick along with a good prospect and possibly some more, but at 25yrs old he is entering his prime as a LEFT defenseman and I believe the money your throwing at Duchesne might be better spent on Trouba. I feel your passion for the team.
