Also, Hunt sweetens the deal for a more experienced AHL/NHLer who is developing nicely. Think Hoffman can be convinced to waive his NTC for the devils?

Yes, Blackwood is an NHL ready backup – and could possibly start more games than Schneider this year. It was about 50/50 this year with Cory's injury, he's easily the goalie of the future.

We're all just guessing regarding NTC and such, but you'd think it wouldn't be a big deal with 1 year left if he wants to test Free Agency. Then again, a long adjustment period could hurt his numbers and therefore his deal in the offseason.
