I don't mind this but I think the Jets might need to send another mid round pick to the Leafs or Arizona or both but other then that it's not the worst idea, really though the rumors about Trouba to Toronto is really just made up click bait, Trouba wants to play in the US and it's highly highly highly unlikely Dubas is gonna acquire Trouba for a one year/playoff rental.

Yes they will most likely have to throw in a nice sweetener to get rid of Marleau but not Zaitsev. Zaitsev won't just be a a salary dump because he still holds value to many teams and he should play way better if he is put in the proper role and not be forced to be a player he clearly isn't.
Trouba would essentially be a 1 year rental so to get him would realistically only cost Kadri. To throw in a 1st and 2nd pick, plus their best winger prospect and the Russian they just signed is insane.
