The Trouba deal would be a contender, but if you're going to pay Kapanen $4 million you should just offer sheet him. It would only cost a second round pick if Toronto doesn't/can't match.

I'd wait a year to see if Trouba wants to sign as a UFA rather them trading Frost. Just a first rounder would enough for Kapanen and you can't get him for an offer sheeting second rounder.

Sub out Frost for another prospect then maybe. A LW prospect like Ratcliffe would make more sense since we are going to have a logjam at LW with Farabee coming up soon as well.
