**Trade only happens if the Devils let Hall talk to EDM about an extension and they agree to one. ***

Idea is EDM gets a top winger in Hall to replace Draisaitl and play with McDavid, plus Boqvist as another speedy winger for the second line and to level out value as Hall has been somewhat injury prone and is 4 years older than Draisaitl.

NJDs get a top winger to play with Hischier, who also speaks German, is younger and is locked into a long term contract. Also the Devils can then build around Hischier/ Draisaitl/ Jack Hughes/ Bratt/ Severson/ Smith/ and Butcher.

This is based off the idea that Hall does not want to resign in NJ.

Not even close. Halls only had one really good season, and Draisaitl just had a better one. He’s far younger and locked up at a smaller cap hit than hall is about to get. Just a non starter

I would rather keep Draisaitl, like you said he is 4 years younger and not injury prone like Hall. Draisaitl has amazing chemistry with McDavid, Hall did not in his first stint with the Oilers. A big plus is Draisaitl can play centre, Hall is a pure winger.

The thought was everyone says EDM needs fast wingers to play with McDavid ie Hall, basically Holland trying to fix Chiarelli's mistake.

I think the only way this would go through is if Holland believes Hall can stay healthy, it is more a gamble for EDM which is why I think NJD would have to add players/picks. I think the main selling point for the Devils is that if Hall can 93 playing for bad team, and put up 37 in 33 before his injury this year, imagine what Hall and McDavid could do.

I can only see Edmonton trading Draisaitl for a series of to 6 players to give the Oilers the depth they need
