I read that, my point is TML is fine in front, 4th in GF, where they failed was PP ( according to the "new philosophy" with speed and skill dragging opponents to do penalties and TML scoring upon that ), SAA and SCA, where they were 25th and 22nd if i remember correctlly....that package would defenitelly bring in some top pair shutdown RHD instead.....being rental same as Kreider would...

The thing is it adds grit for the playoffs, which TML, Desperately needs. Boston and STL are some of the grittiest teams, and they are in the finals. Anything helps

I know it was rumoured around the trade deadline that Edmonton was interested in Brown, and almost every TML Arm Chair GM post has Brown going to EDM for a 3rd round pick but I don't see this happening. EDM is in a cap crunch and needs to shed salaries - why they would take on another 2 million for a bottom 6 role is beyond comprehension for me. I don't think Holland would do this unless Toronto retains 1 million.

Try with the above...you add grit in the defence...and you keep 2 x 1st, which both can be used at TDL for additional top RHD

Brown would play with mcdavid. He has played on mcdavid s wing in the ohl, and he is a former 20 goal scorer. He could score 25-30 with mcdavid.

Edmonton would need to remove several contracts first to take on Brown - they might do it but it's not a priority and would probably need to buy out or trade Lucic first.

And OHL success does not predict NHL success...
