Teams are not allowed to put players on LTIR. It's a league process of medical assessment. But you have shown that the Leafs are about 6 to 7 m over the cap with all their signings. Can't see Sandin or Liljegren Leafs next October, probably not all season.

So, many CapFriendly GMs don't. LTIRs seems to a solution to cap woes for so many.
