Sign Marner, acquiring RHD, people are gunna **** on this since people think Ceci is overrated, but given Ottawa is a rebuilding team, they seem like the most likely to trade a RHD.... Also people underrate Zaits, he's a great PK'er, but needs less minutes overall....His contract is just brutal. (So is Marleau's, but nothing we can do about it, he did show that loyalty to a team didn't matter, so thank you for being a reason JT came).

EDIT: Any suggestions other than Ceci? Because it's hard to find someone that's cheaper. I'm already over my cap

Just cus you can't afford to keep them doesn't mean you throw them way for garbage. You could definitely get a better RHD than Ceci. Look for Spurgeon, Faulk, Hamilton, etc.

Yeah, I won't lie, I don't know the RHD market that well. It'll be difficult to get a good RHD that's still RFA. But yeah that trade sucks. But yeah, I'm already over the cap limit lmao.

Mainly because I can't think of non-playoff teams that have a RHD that would be willing to make a similar trade. I know the trade I made sucks, but it was more of a place holder, any suggestions that's realistic?

RHD is not a unique position. It's still a Dman position. Trading three NHLers for a OK at best RHD is foolish. No cap, short two roster spots and think Sandin and Holl are top 6 good in October. Not close.
