3. I don't think it'll be a trade, I think it'll be an offer sheet. Anywhere between 2-4 M has a 2nd round pick compensation

I am not saying at 10 million Leafs dont match but his number whatever it is needs to be lower than say Rattanen or one of those top flight C's in Point or Aho.

Matthews had a horrendous playoff last year and got 11.6 million AAV, so clearly Dubas doesn't weigh playoff performance all that highly. Most of the RFAs - if they're smart - will wait for Marner to sign first so they can leverage their negotiations off of his.
