none of these trades make the team any better. that colarado trade is so bad. now the defense is good but the forwards besides the 1st line and matthews is bad

You’re right, if you trade nylander you keep AJ and Kappy. You need to make cap toom so you trade Kadri or Z. Brown will be traded in a small deal of sort.

Top 2 lines are practically unchanged. Moore can keep up and replace Kappy.
Bottom 6 are giving some young guys a chance while in the presence of Marleau, Ennis and DSP.

Give Ratcliffe and Ruzicka a year or two and it will have paid off tenfold. Not to mention adding some size to the team.

I'd argue for Zaitsev that this playoffs, while paired with Muzzin, he performed much better. Both proved to be an adequate shut down pairing and played well together.

I'd disagree with the no need for size. I think they could use a player or two that can crash the net and clean up garbage. Against Boston they had almost no rebound offense and that is a flaw that hurt them.
