Not enough for Trouba, not enough for Pesce (who I would love in Peg) and too much for RNH, not that I wouldn’t like him on Winnipeg, I think Ehlers far outweighs RNH on contract alone

Yeah, not happy with this years acquisition. Stasny yes, Players/Fans/Owners needed last years run. Hayes not so much. Either way, not to our first alone. We will get more than that even as a one year rental

Hayes wasn't terrible but he didn't do anything Little wouldn't of and the reality was they were going nowhere anyway so trading another 1st and Lemieux for a rental was dumb dumb dumb!!
Think so, I'm not convinced they'll get as much as many think they will. Doubt they'll get as much as the Kings got for Muzzin but hopefully Chevy can swindle someone, Trouba needs to go!!

We were spoiled last year with the Stastny acquisition. You are right about Hayes. He was too similar to Bryan Little. Stastny was the elite type second line center we were looking for, Hayes was not at that level and got repetitive with our wealth of good top six forwards. You could see it just from coaching. He was playing fourth line center for a good chunk of games.

Also Lemieux would have been a good replacement for Tanev. Not smart giving him away.

Rangers would have no interest in trading a first rounder for one year rental.

Trouba is either going home to Detroit or playing in South Florida, That's pretty much it he isn't signing long term with the NYR.
