From my perspective you are giving away Johnson and Miller and not offering enough for Ristolainen. Palat does not score as many points as a forward (playing on a team that over the season had 99 more goals than Buffalo) as Ristolainen does as defenseman, and you only offer a third round pick for the difference. If you want to move Palat, IMO Betterall would want Tampa's first and a decent prospect.
On the other hand, since Miller and Johnson are returning little (2019 2nd round pick (CAR), Martin, Matt and 2020 3rd round pick (NYI)), would you consider Ristolainen and Sheary for Johnson, Tyler; Palat, Ondrej and Johnson, Tyler? The third going to Buffalo cancels the 3rd going to Tampa, Sheary not quite equal to 2nd and Martin. I assure you Betterall would want more for Ristolainen than Palat and 3rd, so using your trades this proposed trade is close in value.

Holy moly NYI take that deal and ruuuuun. A top 6 forward for a 4th liner and 3rd?!
Same with Tyler Johnson. He'll get a 1st or at the very least two 2nds.

It works for both teams in my opinion. Both teams get what they need. Miller hopefully provides scoring touch, but still has that size Trotz and Lou like. Tampa gets a bonafide grit guy with size for post-season. Same with Johnson for Carolina, true Top 6 guy who can help spike scoring for Carolina.

Risto and Ferland are very possible .. of Tampas top 18 players from this year .. I expect nearly HALF to be new next year .. 4 from Crunch and 4 from trades .. move deadwood out
