Description
Just curious in terms of value wise what could happen.

The team isn't as Dynamic offensively, but they would now have one of the best D-cores in the league + Crosby.

I’d rather keep Malkin on my NHL19 team.

Can't even look at value if Gallagher is involved. Too important for too many reasons to move him.

dallas looks like they win that deal tbh, id say Pittsburgh should decline. But im not all that familiar with Robertson at all and only somewhat familiar with Lindell.

It depends. That trade creates so many holes to Stars roster. Faksa is the defensive leader in forwards, Lindell is the defensive leader in d-men. Removing these assets would make Dallas defensively much worse. Ofc offensively Kessel is a certain upgrade, although DAL doesn't really need another RW since they just acquired Zuccarello and Radulov.

Not to mention that Robertson is our best forward prospect outside NHL.

Honestly I'd love to get Kessel and Määttä to Dallas, but if it's not possible without losing these assets, then it's just not worth it. It would create more problems than it would solve.

I was looking for a prospect as I'm not familiar with Dallas' prospect pool thats in between first and second rd quality, and I couldn't decide. Robertson is sick and I know I was streching when I chose him, more of a dream tbh.

What would it take? I like the gally, lehk, mete base. Maybe only 1 2nd rd pick? Simon is a tad worse Lehk, Johnson is equivalent of like a 6th rd pick but more of a cap dump tbh. So it's basically gally and mete for malkin which i don't believe this is enough. This would give them a true top line which they don't have (I watch MTL games so i know what I'm talking about)

I agree Gally is sick, but Malkin would help the team in the whole goal-scoring department Sticking Out Tongue

They have 10 million of cap space and more picks that whoever hopefully replace Rutherford can do with what he wishes and could possibly sign a big name for like 7 million.

You could say the same thing about every trade on this website. Debate me about the value of a player and stop looking for likes.

Imo a good prospect to get back to make it fair would be someone like Adam Mascherin or Albim Eriksson

I saw Eriksson, but was looking for a forward has the D is tight and doesn't have space for prospects to play their way into the line up

I'm not against Malkin, but Gallagher puts up 30 goals himself and gets a lot of uncredited assists when causing chaos in front of the net. His offensive contributions, like him, are bigger than they appear.
He's also the player I want as a role model for work ethic and heart on a team looking to maximize the potential of their younger players.

Drouin might be something to look at. I personally don't think he fits well in Montreal, especially on a Bergevin or Julien team.

Fair enough, I don't think Drouin has any value at all to be honest. Not hard-working and thinks he a god, wouldn't want him on Pittsburgh for anything more than a 3rd rd pick
