Make a similar offer for Buffalo's 2020 2nd I think you would get a yes. Buffalo would then have 7th, 8th and 25th (maybe the 20th). With the way Betterall has been drafting, I could see 3 NHL top 6 forwards out of that draft. By the time their ELC's run out Lucic's contract would also expire. Then make it a big trade Ristolainen for Lucic, Milan; Benning, Matthew; 2019 1st round pick (EDM); 2020 1st round pick (EDM); 2019 2nd round pick (EDM). So Ristolainen for 2020 1st, 2nd and not sending a second with the original trade.

He would be 32 at the end of it but he’s a plus skater so not sure he’d drop off like some guys do. Don’t think Edmonton would have a chance if they didn’t give him a long term deal

There were two suggestions, the first similar to your post then the second including Ristolainen. I presume you mean the Oilers would not be interested with the trade I suggested including Ristolainen, but what about the first one, which was a modification of the one you proposed?
