Love it. Nice to see the D hold the team together in spite of the so/so goaltending situation. Not a Canes fan, but definitely pulling for them now that my beloved Ducks are long gone.

Wonder if you could convince Duchene to come given that cap space and the fact that it's an up and coming team? Would be a nice add to ease Necas into a full time role.

I think us getting Duchene is a real possibility.

For sure! Both Duchene and Aho can play the wing as well, so if Necas progresses well, you could have a deadly top 6, with Staal running one of the best shutdown lines in the league.



I wonder if there's much out there upgrade-wise? You'd have to overpay for Bobrovski, and I don't think having a goalie signed @ $8.5+ longterm is the answer. Mrazek is probably good enough to stick with.

As far as goalie is concerned, if you did make a move, maybe Varlamov? He has someone identical numbers to Bobrovsky and would take maybe 2.5mil less in a deal

Yeah, I guess it depends if Colorado moves on from him though? Hard to see them not making a similar offer to him given, once again, the lack of options out there.
