wow a 4m deal is a show me contract? you could probably get him for 2m the way he's performed

Since the 2016 season Mojo ranks the following:

Pts - 46th
P/GP - 33rd

The guy makes $4.5 now and his P/GP since 2016 is around Evander Kane (0.68 to Mojo 0.60) who just signed for $7 million a year. Granted Kane is a year younger and plays a heavier game, but I could see Mojo looking for something in the $5.5 range.

the guy also hasn't played over 50 games since he left washington

Weird, he's played 56 games this year already. He's also only in his 2nd year away from Washington.

We will have the cash for it. Could pay him more on a 1 year deal - should honestly have Bellows, Koivula, and Wahlstrom ready to start contributing to the NHL roster by the middle of next season. Unfortunately the year after we need to pay our 1C and 1D, so I'd prefer not to have too much cash tied up if at all possible
