Rask has a no trade clause. He would have to approve any trade for him - and there is zero chance he would approve a trade to go live in Winnipeg.

Scandella is no way better than Krejci and Vanek has negative value because of his contract. In this scenario you have us signing Nielsen for 3.5M as a FA. He is clearly > Vanek even if the money was equal because he is a ton better defensively.

Scandella would help defense while getting rid of Krejci frees up cap space. Obviously all trades are hypothetical. In this case B's would need to take back Vanek's last year to get out from under Rask's high contract. You have to give to get... As for NMC/NTC contracts the site should just block those players from being traded. It is absolutely ridiculous how many NMC/NTC contracts are handed out like from a Pez dispenser.
