Great back and forth, guys. That being said, not sure Dzingel for five years is really ideal. Also, I'd prefer to not add Tyler Myers if possible since he's really not that good anymore. 5.5M is probably too much for him TBH.

I agree on Dzingel and I'm not a big fan of Nyquist either. Tyler Myers is probably going to get more money from a team. I'd expect 6.5 to 7 million. If it's only 4 years he might be a decent fit at RD for the Flyers.

Yeah, not huge on Nyquist either. 4 years would be a bit concerning for Myers since he really just hasn't been that good. I guess my concern is that he'll turn into another AMac type where his contract and play are both really bad.

I'm not sure Myers would become another AMAC. He's very mobile and good with the puck from what I have seen. He appears to lack physicality for his size. I'll admit to not having seen him enough though. I'm not sure how well he does at stopping zone entries or getting the puck out his own zone with control. AMAC is particularly terrible at allowing zone entries and then either icing the puck or flipping it into the neutral zone with no control keeping the ice tilted against the Flyers while he's out there. I feel as though Myers makes a nice first pass and is comfortable enough with the puck on his stick to skate with it out of the zone if he has time.

One thing is clear though. Myers is truly probably worth $5 million. UFA status might get him $7 million. Comparing him to AMAC isn't fair because AMAC at his best has probably only been worth $2.5 million.
