I think a better iteration of that trade would be:

Strome + Brinksy + Sikura + Forsling for Draisatal + Klefbom + Puljujarvi.

Or something like that. A 2020 1st doesn't really help the Hawks. Losing our 2C of the future is hard, even if Drai is a better player than Brinks or Strome.

As a Hawks fan, I don't want this trade. Drai certainly is a quality player, but there's zero guarantee that 1st rounder is going to turn into anything. Debrincat has 40 goals in his 2nd year AND doesn't play with McDavid. Debrincat carries a line where Drai's proven that in order to be the stud that he is...he NEEDS to be with McDavid. When Drai plays away from McDavid he's not nearly as good. This isn't intended to be a shot AT ALL. I'D LOVE to have him on the Hawks, but not at this cost.

It means he's much less likely to get traded. And it certainly doesn't hurt his trade value.

Agreed that he wont get traded. But the point stands. And NO Debrincat does NOT play with Kane.
