Yeah, there's no way St. Louis does that.

Why do you hate St. Louis so much? Screwing them in this deal, and your other post with Edmonton you screwed them too

I don't hate St. Louis. I'm a St. Louisan and have followed them since 1973. My dad works with some of the Blues scouts, and the word is that Kyrou isn't seen as a good fit in Berube's system. They want to capitalize on his value before it gets shot by staying in the AHL. Allen gets a bad rap...most of it is his own doing at times, but if you take away the emotions and actually look at his numbers objectively, he's not as terrible as his reputation affords him. He has been especially good since he has lost his 1A goalie status. He's simply a solid backup now or a 1B-type goalie, but his welcome in St. Louis has been worn out. Ottawa needs salary cap adds, and he can be that 1B-type goalie there with whoever the Senators bring in to replace Nilsson (if they choose to). Fabbri simply has become replaced by Blais and MacEachern but he still offers a team that wants to give him a shot offensive upside. The Blues need a veteran backup to Binnington, and securing some solid picks for two guys they've given up on but who still have talent is the talk among the Blues brass. I certainly don't hate the Note. I do hate that we haven't been back to a cup finals since our first three years of existence though.

You must hate the Blues cause you're shipping away valuable assets for nothing. That's a terrible return for those 3 players

It is interesting that you think that trade brings back "nothing." A cheap veteran goalie that can still play and can teach the young Binnington while not pouting in the locker room (Allen does). A good 2nd round pick and a likely early 4th rounder. Allen needs to go, so the Blues won't miss him. Fabbri has played his way off the Blues according to those within the organization. Kyrou is a top prospect who doesn't fit according to the organization. This is a solid return for two guys the Blues no longer want and a top prospect who has yet to produce at the NHL level.

Tell me, then, what is your price for those three guys if you were trading with Ottawa? If you'd like, you can even pick a different team(s).

St. Louis is in a contention state of mind right now. Why would they trade 2 young guys with value for prospects? Anderson can be had for a cheap cost. They could easily get more out of both Kyrou and Fabbri to help the team. Draft picks don't help the team win for 3-5 years. It's a waste of their value and poor asset management

Again, what then would you seek for those three?
