Équipe: 2019-20 Lightning de Tampa Bay
Date de création initiale: 16 mars 2019
Publié: 16 mars 2019

Description
Wow, so without dumping cash and giving fair contract extensions to the RFA's it shows that Tbay needs to dump 7 million. Good luck with that when Stevie Y gave everybody NTC like candy. Now the player, not the GM decides who stays.

Ok, my comment was a lie, 2 players are moveable before Jul 1 2019, Gourde and Miller, their NTC don't come in effect until next season. So there is 8 million (you'll need to spend a 2-3 million on players to replace them) saved if you can find a sucker to take them. Also Callahan might express interest to go back to NYR, if they want him back.

It helps if you don’t overpay Paquette and Stralman

Over payment of 1/4 million, that'll help a lot *sarcasm*, to be honest Stralman gets more on the UFA market, the 3 million offer is a team loyalty discount.

With each passing day that Gourde contract looks worse than the Leafs Zaitsev contract, why does no one talk about that?

You didn’t need to point out which part was sarcasm.

And we might not even need Strals honestly, if Foote is ready to play. I agree Gourde’s deal is bad but he’s still productive. The way leafs fans talk about zaitsev just doesn’t seem like how gourde plays

Gourde's stats are inflated by the great Fwd depth Tbay has, if Gourde was on, say Ott, that contract would be as good as Lucic's *sarcasm* again, tehe.

If Foote plays like his father he'll be pure gold.

Leafs fan hate on Z is all based on the contract length, not his playing ability.

Even if Gourde is like Namestnikov 2.0 it still helps. No such thing as too many points!

Question is, if we move him would he waive for anyone? Maybe MTL?

Like I noticed Gourde and Miller's NTC starts this summer, so they can be traded to any team at the Draft.

I’d want a Miller/Faulk swap for sure.. and then Gourde can go to EDM or something. Maybe DAL

Miller for Faulk sounds reasonable for both teams, though it barely effects TBay's Salary Cap woes.

Now that I looked at Faulk's contract I understand why he hasn't been traded, his cap hit is less than 5 million but his actual money paid is 6 million for the next 2 years. Maybe De Haan would be better from Carolina, more money saved and not as much of a back loaded contract.

But Faulk’s will expire quickly
