yeah def not trading Ristolainen for that return...sure Risto has his flaws but if youre trading him and replacing his 24 minutes a night with Zach Bogosian on the top pair this team is going to be even worse next year....

Im not against moving ristolainen, but i need to replace at least some of his minutes with a competent rhd before i can do it. Montour, bogosian (when healthy), and nelson does not make me feel like we have improved at all. Pavelski isnt coming here, and kevin hayes (im thinking 7 per) will get more than that from somebody else. Skinner is still probably at 8.5-9.

While I do not think Betterall would make this trade, it is a good Hockey trade and may have been the starting point for negotiations between Betterall and BriseBois. Betterall is not under any pressure to trade Ristolainen and most likely would have wanted a younger player in return. I think a trade could be made with Tampa at the Draft that may include Callahan coming to Buffalo (especially if the Bolts won the cup), one of Sergachev, Miller, Gourde and a pick (since Tampa would have won the cup, they may be willing to give up their first (since it is really the first pick of the 2nd round). IMO the two could not come to terms. TBH, I hope BriseBois regrets it.
