Sweet Baby Jesus! Yes please!! If Benning can pull that trade off I'll take back everything I've ever said about him, including the fact that he's a clone of Kevin Malone from "The Office". The only thing I'd change is avoiding giving Schenn that contract (let the Oilers have him too!) and I'd give that money to Hamhuis on a 1 or 2 year deal.

No way the Oilers make that trade. They would try to get a Top 2 defenceman for RNH. Are you seriously replacing Gudbranson with Schenn?

Although it may not be fair value for RHN, the difference in salary might agreeable for the Oilers. Besides overpaying Schenn...by a lot, do you really think Lucic will be good value down the road. Save your money for a proper rebuild.

Yeah, Edmonton did trade Matthew Barzal (1st Round Pick) and the 33rd (2nd Round Pick) for Griffin Reinhart who played 29 games with 1A. Gudbranson 6 ft 5, has 5 years in the NHL and 24 yrs old, former 3rd over all pick. I don't think that would be totally unrealistic.

Funny, I don't think Benning would make that trade for RNH if Chiarelli called him and made the offer.

Schenn at RD,... I was thinking JB would prefer paying the term to him vs Hamhuis because of age

Agree with Lucic, I just think JB is in love with him. Linden and Benning can't spell rebuild.
