What do you think Puju is? Lol. He does not have much trade value at this point either. I agree though.

Caps would take both those deals.

    Everyone elses declines.

Why specifically does "everyone else decline" ? Perhaps the TDL deals returns are slightly too high however the market is being set at the moment and Lovejoy getting a 3rd + prospect and Jensen getting a 2nd + Bowey has established benchmarks.

Deal #1: Reider will fetch a 3rd/4th rounder to a team looking for bottom 6 depth. He can kill penalties and is a affordable option
Deal #2: Kassian + Retained Salary will be a underrated add for any team. Specifically a team in the hunt would be wise to add Kassian as he is playing well at the moment can be a big time player
Deal #3: Gravel will fetch a late pick and would be a smart deadline add for a team with limited cap (pending UFA so not a detriment next season
Deal #4: Petrovic is a good 3rd pair NHL dman and COL would be wise to add a player like Petro and pair him with Zadorov in a 3rd pair shutdown role. Return has been established by earlier deals this week
Deal #5: Brodziak returned to his former team to play 4th line center in a potentially deep playoff run isnt that wild of proposition
Deal #6: Benning for Granlund would be a smart move for both teams VAN. EDM needs forwards / VAN needs dman both players are relatively young and being passed in the depth charts
Deal #7: Ryan for Lucic + Manning & picks. OTT is going to look to add as many picks as possible this year and next. Also they need to add salary in order to reach the cap floor. This deal adds 1m in cap to OTT
Deal #8: Shaw for Russell MTL has been linked to LHD trade rumors all season and could look to add in the offseason if not addressed. Could see EDM adding picks or prospects to make this happen

If Bura is underwhelming what does that make Puli? I hate how EDM has handled the young player however with the latest news of the IR and AHL assignment it seems like there is no fixing the relationship.
EDM adding Bura could provide them a winger to play with McDavid (former junior linemates) under team control. Sadly it seems like the organization is not willing to give that opportunity to Puli so best bet is to move on imo

    Because eb=veryone else sucks

Everyone does overpay at the deadline. However -

Reider would have gotten a 2nd/3rd in past years. I would not give more than a 5th at this point.

Oilers have tried to trade Kassian for a year and half and nobody wants him.

There are few teams in the league Gravel could actually play for, especially playoff teams.

If Petrovic can’t get in the lineup for you what makes you think he will elsewhere, 3rd pairing in Col last game was Nemeth-Zadorov. He is not pksying over either of them.

    Brodziak is doable.

Granlund >.Benning and they need high end D men. He is not an upgrade over what they have. They need Granlund far more than him.

Looch is virtually unmoveable, not that Ryan is any prize.

Habs makes sense for them , i could see that. Habs fans will hate it, and they don;t like Shaw lol.

Agree on a few points but not all.
    1. Reider has absolutely dropped in value but with Boyle getting a 2nd & Hagelin a 3rd it shows GMs are willing to overpay
    2. I have a sense the oilers tried trading him when he initially requested a deal however none were there. shortly after EDM realized the had zero depth up front and Kassian was taken off the market. I strongly doubt there are no suitors for his services considering a retained salary would likely occur and his recent body of work.
    3. Gravel is a serviceable NHL dman, any team including playoff bound teams could add him as a 6-8th and it wouldnt cost much at all.
    4. I dont understand what EDM is doing with Petrovic, he is a clear better option than Benning and they paid a price to acquire him. As a pending UFA they could flip him no problem with retained salary. Nemeth has not been good this year and adding an option like Petro would be wise.
    5. Granlund isnt going to get VAN high end d. They also need 2nd & 3rd pair guys that fit the age of that team
    6. Looch is due $3m dollar bonus July 1 which i could see EDM paying and then trying to make a deal after to a salary restricted team like OTT.
    7. Habs deal hinges on the young LHD they have coming (Mete) and whether they are ready or not.
