Description

Simmonds doesn't get resigned the team targets Stone instead.

Appearntly this fits under the cap as the front page suggests the Bruins can bring in somewhere around 14M worth of contracts and still be compliant at seasons end.

If Heinen struggles then they flip him with Simmonds, but he's been good on line 1 so that's where he's kept for now.

The Bruins get immediate help from a decent guy. I'm not sure I trust the idea of having 2x 4th lines like the teams been doing and I think they decided to change that when they targeted Coyle.

Bjork probably has more scoring upside than Wood but he's out for the year with an injury. He'll probably also only cost 1M on a 2y deal saving the Devils around 1.75M to go after one of the big UFA's like maybe Panarin. It'd be a pretty good fit to have Hall and Panarin as your 2 top 6 LW's.

I think he's got value only in a deal like this. We both know he's currently done for the year, but in a swap for a fellow 3rd liner whom he has more scoring potential then I think he'd have some value. What if I made the pick a 3rd?

No. Why would they? He’s signed fir 3 more years cheap and then is an RFA. Not going to give him away. Might get you Johansson.

I think you like Wood more than I do. I see him as a decent 3rd liner who's not as good as Heinen or Coyle. He's the same age as Heinen and has less upside imo and Coyle's above him in terms of production. 2x 3rd round picks is about what I'd pay for someone like that.
