Lmao god no. You’re right I don’t watch leafs that often but I live in Ontario so I see them enough. I also have a lot of leafs fan friends who say he sucks. If he was paid / utalized like a #4 or #5 D I’d have zero problem with him. Unfortunately, he’s treated like a top pairing guy

Nope, gardiner and Reilly get the top minutes 25+ zaitsev gets 19-21.

He just gets the hard minutes, defensive zone starts pk and shutdown minutes when we are leading. He can usually be found on the ice for the last 2 minutes of any games we lead. And to be honest I don’t even remember ya blowing a 1 goal lead in the last 2 minutes of a game this year. I’m sur it must have happened at some point but none are coming to mind. Since getting muzzin zaitsev has looked very good. But gardiner has been dropped down to play with Dermott and up with Reilly.

I Leafs do need cap space, bu they nets the Leafs just 3m. Better ways to get to the 7m needed. This trade would weaken the defence and one forward position, so to achieve another 4m can would the Leafs have weaken another two positions? We'll see if Marleau retires....it's a big if, which would help the Leafs cap.
