tampa isn't giving up two 1sts to dump callahan.
we can't even trade the 2019 pick, plus callahan's deal is almost done

and i guarantee callahan wouldn't waive for montreal

Taking 3+ years of awful contracts isn't cheap. Maybe Tampa and Anaheim don't do this, doesn't mean they can move Callahan or Perry for cheap.

Tampa can trade it, with the condition that it changes to 2020 if they win the Cup and that pick goes to Rangers.

The Oilers don’t need anymore goalies. Replace McNiven with Gorniak or Teasdale and a 2nd?

he doesnt have a full NMC. he has to choose to between a couple hours in flights to be home or cross from the west coast that are way longer then the 3-4 hours he takes now .
he's from Rochester NY an 1 1/2 -2 hour and change Flight from MTL meaning he can be home more regularly where his wife lives with their kids who are in school during the season in the same area he went to school with his wife .

there is very little chance he chooses not to waive for MTL especially given Claude Julien gives his 3rd and 4th line almost as much ice time as his 1st and 2nd.(2-2 1/2 minutes difference usually . )
in MTL Callahan would also be loved just look at the fans reaction to the return of bottom like RW Dale Weise . How much they love 3rd line Paul Byron .

We're simply an Original 6 hockey market with a Coach that could get the most out of Callahan giving him a new lease on life .

But Please tell me more about why being in TBL who's went from 20 minutes on average in TBL to 11 losing 1-3 minutes each season he stays .
like Nate Thompson in MTL 12-13 minimum as Claude use's 4th line special teams guys like Callahan to the fullest.

Gorniak
Teasdale is Bouchard's guy he brought with him after leaving junior , Bouchard calls him ''his Gallagher'' .
to much upside with a coach knowing him that well responsible for developing him in the AHL post junior .

i agree he did but its become clear each year they reduce his role and slash his minutes after falling short of a cup that they cant nor can he if they are together .

Callahan fits our system and would be getting good minutes playing hours from his kids in an arena that supports our 4th line more then some expansion teams do their 1st .
If Callahan didnt play for an original 6 market then sure maybe he ignores the chance to be the missing piece in canadians playoff push become the Chris Kelly of Montreal cup Run . (kelly matched his career playoff numbers with CJ that year )

you're not seeing the big picture , you're still arrogant enough to think you can win a cup without adding even though each of the past 5 years you've been favored that's never been the case your Offense always gets shut down at some point because they face teams like Claude Juliens cup team that paid the sacrifice giving up a Wheel and Stuart for Peverley to win a cup . they interjected Kelly ,and Kaberle then the cup was their's .

TBL has still yet to do this .
its why when they get to the NSH or TML waiting for them they will fall because both other teams have paid the price and made the sacrifice's to get there .
TBL is screwed cap wise and as such they are pissing away Stamko's and Johnson best years while Palat and KIllorn age still under contract. All the NMC are the real issue as Stevie Y stuck Briseboise with the impossible task of adding without subtracting anything .
