I disagree. A high end D prospect, and a center prospect tearing up the AHL this season and a first is plenty. Getting BOTH guys to sign extensions before the trade is done is the real problem here. Way to many moving parts but I like the value for both teams.

Dzingel won't get a 1st+. Either a 1st or a prospect+2nd. Here, he's getting the 1st.

Maybe a signed Duchene gets more than Dobson+Koivula but not that much more. Maybe CGY 2nd as well. Or Ho-Sang.

Getting Dobson back is a huuuge win regardless. Especially if Duchene isn't signing in Ottawa.

if its the best offer before the 25th i could live with getting Dobson but something better than a no name prospect would need to be included and conditional picks will most likely be involved in any deal that involved Dzingle, Stone and Duchene.

Duchene is a 1C and signed he is valuable much more so than a late 1st, dobson and a unknown propect.

He came over from finland this season and is really turning heads. 21 year old who has been putting up points in his first season playing North American hockey.

He is a big centerman at 6’4” and was recently drawing comparisons to Kopitar. Now I don’t think he turns out to be THAT good but he is a promising young C prospect who will shoot up prospect lists after the season.

And seems like someone Dorion would target. Very similar to getting Balcers in the Karlsson deal, and he looks like a really nice piece.
