No thanks, Lucic contract is so bad... if you add a 1st, maybe!! Klefbom + Lucic, for me value is 0, but if the trade was only Klefbom, I'll pay Lindgren, Reilly, Lehkonen and a young prospect (Ikonen or Ylonen)

Too much for the Habs to swallow. Klefbom is good don't get me wrong but if you slap Lucic along with him all of a sudden his value is nowhere near it is now.

The Habs aren't giving any game breakers away but Lehkonen is a cheap, solid top 9 player. Reilly is playing top 4 currently and is cheap. Lindgren is a maybe to be a potential starter one day. The habs are taking on over 10M in cap in this deal.... has a deal ever happened where a team took that much cap from another team in history?

I like the concept but Lucic has a really bad contract that makes anything being traded with it less valuable. So Klefbom with Lucic isn't enough to get those 3 players from MTL, even though those 3 players are less good than Klefbom.

Trading arguably our best defense man to get rid of Lucic is not very smart. Prospect goalies are hard to judge and Reilly is nothing special

That's a fairly small sample, but it seems like neither side is really interested into making a deal along these lines. Too bad, I thought there was some potential there.
