We need as many picks as possible to replenish. The farm team has depth but not many players screaming "all-star." Winnipeg certainly ain't trading Laine for Schwartz, especially how weak his scoring has been this year. They'd listen to Schenn and Tarasenko offers though.

No, I’m saying that although Schwartz is a fantastic player, his injuries, poor/unlucky season, and the fact that he’s less known around the league means that his value sucks in a trade.

I was asking because I was curious about his value compared to Laine. There numbers are very similar the only big difference would be age.But it's just an opinion

Schwartz is basically the “anti-Laine.” He drives play at an elite level and creates great chances, but has never been a good finisher by any stretch. Laine isn’t a driver, but his incredible shooting ability means that he’s always on the scoreboard and I’d say that’s slightly more important. If you asked who I’d take in July, I’d probably pick Schwartz because he was coming off a Hart caliber season, but now Laine would be the easy call.
