What moves would you make to sign them under the Cap if you can't move Marleau and Zaitsev, assuming you have $12.2M to spend after keeping a $500k buffer?

Sign Marner, Kapanen, Johnson, That's about 16m. Sign or trade for real NHL Dman. 18m. Another Marlie winger recalled. That's 19m. So the Leafs are 6.3m over the cap. Trade Nylander and his 7m cap hit for picks, or prospects. Leafs are cap compliant by about 700,000.
Leafs only really lose two players from last years roster which was expected. Gardiner and Hainsey. Plus one more Nylander.

Certainly moving Nylander solves a lot of Cap issues. It's a major decision for the team. I still haven't gotten to the point where the three RFA's would cost $16M but maybe you've had many discussions on that already.
