Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

This line - up would give us so many different options with Smith, Bjugstad, McCann, Cullen, Blueger, and even Janmark all able to play Center and wing. PLUS give us crazy depth for a long playoff run.

- It sucks to trade Pearson and Simon who both have term left and are young but our need for some tougher players is a must.... we are just way too soft of a team.

Ottawa trade :
Z. Smith for J. Johnson is one bad contract for another.
- Smith could be a good 3rd Line C and add some bite to our soft Forward group.

NJ Trade :
- Wood gives us that speed factor that we miss from Hags , PLUS he is a tough S.O.B which we lack.
- Mueller is a solid 3rd pairing guy and also adds a physical factor too.

Dallas Trade :
- I love Janmark, he is a great 2 way winger and exactly what is needed for 71 and 81 to work on a line.

- Schenn is a decent #8 RHD man for playoff depth

i hear u on Simon being more skilled than Janmark but this team needs a good 2-way player on left side that can play with 81 and 71 and Janmark is a good arse player but he has had some bad luck this year.... Simon is just as bad as 81 and 71 with turnovers and doing dumb stuff like trying to beat a 1 on 3 rush , then turning puck over

I'm confused. If the Penguins need to get tougher why would they trade their most physical player? Say what you want about Johnson, but he has 52 more hits than anyone else on the roster.

He mite have hits but every hit , takes him out of position, and i think the dude has been on the ice for every goal this season. He gota go

I definitely agree with that. However, replacing him with Mueller doesn't make the defense any tougher. Mirco is a promising player, and he has the size to be physical but he doesn't really utilize it. As a result, he averages nearly half as many hits per game as Johnson. There are other options that would better accomplish your overall goal, maybe even at a lesser price.
