Description
Boston trade- Gives you a proven playoff proformer and a center which you guys need.

Dallas trade- Give more depth for a hopeful playoff run

Montreal trade- Gives more depth for a playoff run

NYI trade- More offensive talent up front for a hopeful playoff year for 2 prospects who need a change in scenery

Calgary trade- Yes it maybe an overpayment from CGY but we take Stone's contract while you get a better man(Forbort) and a backup goalie because of Smith's injury history and another grit guy

He's a LHD and is realiable and Toffoli ads more scoring.

I don't think shipping out basically all of LA's competitive players who aren't named Doughty or Kopitar is the solution to their problem. There is, in my observation, value in keeping a competitive culture through a rebuild. Look at Arizona, Edmonton, and even to a lesser extent, the Sabres. Their rebuilds have taken way too long because of a losing culture and poor management decisions. The King's need to be selling assets, but bottoming out like that usually stunts growth of young players.

On the flip side, trade Brown now if teams ask. His value only goes down in the next couple years while he's still under contract. He's close to hitting that mid 30s basement and will be at his 2015-16 numbers soon enough.

My thinking of all of these trades was to add more prospects with speed and skill and getting more cap flexability. As I've heard plenty of times from NHL insiders is the Kings are willing to sell all becides Kopitar and Doughty. As far as Brown goes, I don't think he's tradable with the cap hit he has but if someone offers something I'm down Same with dion haha

As a Stars fan I would prefer Toffoli. Don't know what the price tag would be for Toffoli only.

Stone and Forbort are a wash aside from 1M in cap and if we want we can always LTIR STone due to his blood clot.

Campbell would be a nice back up option but no way we are giving up Valimaki for him and a 4th line plug.

Hagelin will likely get a 3rd and Thompson a 4th from contenders looking to shore up their PK and bottom 6. Kings aren't moving Lewis for anything short of a massive overpay by someone, certainly not as a throw in for 2 fourth rounders. I think Lewis likely retires a King...

Islanders are ahead on schedule on a rebuild, not a contender (yet). I can't imagine Kovalchuk waiving his his NTC for any team short of a cup contender. Scherbak is going to KHL

No way Kings trade with Calgary, especially a promising young goalie (remember Martin Jones). Plus Blake loves Clifford and Forbort is a first round pick eating top line minutes on an affordable contract.

I'm surprised no QUICK trade with all of the house cleaning...
